Connect//serve//deliver – delivering for your tenants
Do you work on the frontline?
This event is designed especially for you.
We know working on the frontline in any sector can be tough but also very rewarding, especially in the housing sector. This event is aimed at ALL staff who engage with tenants and other customers on a day to day basis.
This unique event which takes place at the Teacher Building in Glasgow, 14 November, highlights some of the issues that can affect you and provides you with skills, tips and techniques to deal with them in a fun to learn way.
There is always a great buzz about this event and frontline staff, who don’t always get the chance to attend events, have the opportunity to build confidence and knowledge as well as network with colleagues from across Scotland. All of this will help you to be even more productive in your housing role.
You told us you wanted the opportunity to attend more workshops and there so there are now three workshop sessions with eight different workshops for delegates to choose from.
We are excited to be welcoming Brian Costello from Headstrong along as the motivational speaker for the day. Brian will help to make sure everyone has an upbeat experience and leave feeling positive about the new skills and knowledge they have gained.
Workshop sessions will be delivered in an interactive way to help delegates get as much from them as possible and include:
- Keeping lone workers safe
- The Scottish Social Housing Charter – why it matters
- A different approach to customer care
- The role of Committee/Board
- Fake it ‘til you make it – confidence on the frontline
- Recognising a vulnerable tenant
- Dealing with conflict and violence
- Making social media work for you
If you work on the frontline have a look at the programme and make sure you get your place booked as soon as possible. If you manage frontline staff this is an excellent way to show your support and help them develop in their role.
There are two great offers running for this event and if you book 3 places your will get a 4th free. If you are 16-25 and studying a housing related qualification you can also benefit from a reduce cost. Make sure you check it out.
